  • People in the UK are often not used to the idea of a single speed bike, although this is the norm in Holland.  The advantages of a single speed are:

    • Low Cost - You are not paying for expensive components that you rarely use
    • Reliability - there is little than can go wrong with a single speed bike

Think about how often you use the gears on a bike if you are popping to the shops.  What matters to you more if you are cycling to work or college, the ability to climb mountains or reliability?

    Delivery

If you live near Newcastle we will deliver your bike to you fully assembled.  We also operate a weekday collection service from Newcastle Central Station if you want to travel to Newcastle to pick up your bike.

For delivery elsewhere mainland UK we deliver your bike by courier partially assembled.  This means that the front wheel, handlebars, mudguard, rack and pedals must be attached by you.  You will also need to connect the front brake.  If you do not feel confident doing this then we would suggest that you pay a local bike shop a small fee to do this for you.  Your basket and a bracket to allow you to move the front light will be shipped in a separate package via Royal Mail Recorded delivery.
